Clementi Forest Hike 4th March 2023

The 85 ha Clementi Forest is the largest secondary forest after BT Nature Reserve. Many rare bird species, plants and other vertebrate-species were recorded. It was a rubber plantation before abandoned during 2 world war. 1st part of the trail is challenging, ‘raw’, jungly, overgrown, uneven and  steep. Participants will experience searching for the trail and learn to trek safely.

2nd part of the hike is crossing the muddy streams along the old Jurong rail.

Prefer wear – long hiking pant, long sleeve shirt, weather tight hiking shoes, hat, hand glove, towel, raincoat/poncho .
Essential – drinking water for 2 hours, 1 pc trekking pole, fully charged hp, insect repellent.
